For nearly a decade, Matt worked as an independent insurance adjuster across multiple states, inspecting roofs after hurricanes, hailstorms, and severe weather events.

Before that, he worked as an automotive technician and later became a firearms instructor, teaching new shooters the importance of safety, discipline, and awareness. Different industries, same lesson — even a small mistake in the wrong environment can have serious consequences.

Over the years, Matt saw the same thing too often on roofs: hardworking roofers and contractors relying on makeshift setups and tools that weren't built for real-world roof conditions.

And at the end of every job — when the work was done, the tools were packed, and both Matt and the roofer were walking to their trucks — Matt always said the same five words:
